Alejandro Martínez García was born in Elda, Alicante, and from an early age he found in painting not only a game, but a way of being in the world. With a degree in Fine Arts, his career has taken him through different studios, cities and techniques, always maintaining a clear essence: painting from the gesture, intuition and risk. Oil painting is his main language, a medium that demands dedication and allows him to explore the unexpected.
His work establishes a dialogue between the unpredictable and the profoundly human. Portraiture and landscape are fundamental axes in Alejandro’s work, understood as spaces to explore the emotional and the invisible through gesture and matter.
He has been recognized with awards such as the Reina Sofía de Pintura y Escultura (57th edition), among others. Beyond awards and exhibitions, his greatest aspiration is that his work be remembered for its authenticity and honesty.
The mountains and climbing have influenced his way of understanding life as change, effort and learning. His family instilled in him the importance of freedom and thinking for himself. His final wish as an artist is simple and radical: to have lived and created to the fullest.
